The Daiwa Emcast Surf model EC 1202XXHFB surfcasting rod is the big boy of the group, and will make it possible to catch just about anything that ends up at the end of your line.  The rod is made from a two piece, 12’ graphite blank. The power is rated at XX-Heavy, which will almost let you pull in the bottom if you get hung up on it.  With a Fast Action up top, this rod still has the control to work plugs and lures, as well.  The lure weight is rated from 8 to 12 ounces, and the line weight ranges from 30 to 60 pounds. There are 9 large guides on the rod that make up the Daiwa Long Cast System and give it incredible casting capabilities.  The blank is protected by Diawa's X-Tube, which prevents wear and tear on the blank itself, and the hand-wrapped grip is made of Duracork for long life, even in the saltwater.

Daiwa will repair or replace any Daiwa rod or reel which proves defective in workmanship or materials within one year from the date of original purchase.  Retain your sales slip as proof of purchase date in the event warranty work becomes necessary.  This warranty does not cover lost parts, malfunctions due to abuse, accident or normal wear, or, cleaning or relubrication required due to owner's failure to provide reasonable and necessary maintenance.  Repairs to your Daiwa reel due to abnormal use, modification or beyond the warranty period are available for a reasonable charge, from Daiwa's Factory Service Department.
