One surfcasting rod that is suitable for catching most kinds of coastal fish is the Daiwa Emcast Surf model EC 1132XHFS.  This rod is 11’3” long, and is a two piece blank made from graphite that is as sensitive as it is durable.  The advantage of the sensitivity is that it enables the angler to feel even the slightest bumps of the bottom and the lightest of strikes.  This model features a Xtra-Heavy Power rating, with a Fast Action.  Six guides keep the 25 - 50 lb. line moving smoothly while casting lures with weights of 6 to 10 ounces.  The Reel Seat is stainless and hooded, and the blank is protected from scratching by Diawa's X-Tube.  The grip is hand-wrapped and made of high density Duracork for many years of comfortable fish fighting adventures.

Daiwa will repair or replace any Daiwa rod or reel which proves defective in workmanship or materials within one year from the date of original purchase.  Retain your sales slip as proof of purchase date in the event warranty work becomes necessary.  This warranty does not cover lost parts, malfunctions due to abuse, accident or normal wear, or, cleaning or relubrication required due to owner's failure to provide reasonable and necessary maintenance.  Repairs to your Daiwa reel due to abnormal use, modification or beyond the warranty period are available for a reasonable charge, from Daiwa's Factory Service Department.
