Daiwa Black Gold Spinning Reels

The Daiwa Black Gold spinning reels have been proven performers on the water for nearly 20 years. With its strong metal construction and rigid metal frame the Daiwa Spinning Reel's drive train stays in perfect alignment even under heavy loads.  The exterior of the Daiwa Spinning reels is constructed of a corrosion-proof hard anodized finish made to withstand years of harsh saltwater exposure.  The Black Gold has a large folding handle for easy storage and transport and a comfortable oversized wooden grip. The Daiwa Black Gold also features a silent left / right hand retrieve mechanism.  These Daiwa spinning reels also offers a high performance drag that utilizes a combination of Teflon and stainless steel washers which eliminates metal-to-metal friction.  The "guts" of the system consists of  three stainless steel ball-bearings designed to stand up to the rigors of both freshwater and saltwater fishing,  a rugged, precision gearing and stainless steel main shaft.
