The Daiwa BG60 was intended for use in both saltwater and freshwater. Both the inside and outside of this reel is designed to be a power performer, with a guarantee that you won’t be let down.

This reel has great interior mechanics. The Teflon and stainless steel washers inside the drag prevent metal on metal rubbing, so that tightening and loosening the drag is completely trouble-free. The main shaft of the Daiwa BG60 is made of very sturdy stainless steel and has exceptionally precise gearing to make working this reel simple. There are three ball bearings that are coated with a special coating that prevents water and debris from deteriorating the bearing; allowing your reel to function properly up to 12 times longer.

The external aspects of the Daiwa Black Gold Spinning Reel Series are just as remarkable as the insides. The ultra strong, rigid metal frame supports the drive train to insure it stays perfectly inline, even when under the stress of a large game fish. The silent left/right receiver comes equipped with a oversized foldable wooden handle that is extremely easy to grip. There is an anti-corrosive hard anodized finish to withstand all the elements.

Warranty Information:
Daiwa will repair or replace any Daiwa rod or reel which proves defective in workmanship or materials within one year from the date of original purchase.  Retain your sales slip as proof of purchase date in the event warranty work becomes necessary.  This warranty does not cover lost parts, malfunctions due to abuse, accident or normal wear, or, cleaning or relubrication required due to owner's failure to provide reasonable and necessary maintenance.  Repairs to your Daiwa reel due to abnormal use, modification or beyond the warranty period are available for a reasonable charge, from Daiwa's Factory Service Department.
