The Penn 965 International Baitcasting Reel is built with Penn’s high quality and supreme durability. The frame and contoured side plates of this reel are constructed of lightweight, one piece forged machined aluminum. There is a gold anodized finish on the frame, spool, and side plates which assist in preventing corrosion which is a common problem associated with saltwater fishing. The spool of Penn International 965 is machined from solid bar-stock aluminum which will allow it to perform even under the heaviest of loads. There are two aircraft grade, shielded, stainless steel ball bearings as well and an infinite anti-reverse roller bearing which gives the Penn 965 the ability to reel in those huge game fish with ease. The handle is constructed of aluminum with a comfortable oversize hand grip for all day comfort.
