Daiwa Emblem Pro 5500 Spinning Reel is Special Order (ships in 5-7 business days)The Daiwa Emblem Pro 5500 spinning reel is designed for casting distance and drag performance while saltwater fishing. The spool on the Daiwa Emblem Pro 5500 is constructed of aluminum with large diameter, this allows the line to freely flow from the reel in large coils, which causes minimal line memory which in turn results in less casting friction for longer, smoother casts. The spool reverse taper allows you have 100% usable line, with not “dead” line buried deep in the core of the spool. There is also a corrosion-resistant Twister Buster line roller on the drag that reduces line twist, tangles and knots. There is a precision, worm-shaft level wind which cross-wraps the line evenly onto the spool. This spinning reel comes equipped with an Infinite Anti-Reverse which will reduce handle back play and allows for great hook sets. You are also able to fold the handle, with just the push of a button.
The “guts” of this reel have been designed for ultimate performance. There are 6 ball bearings that are specially coated to prevent corrosion, and one roller bearing. These bearings are sealed to prevent sand, salt crystals, fine grit and other debris that could cause your reel to malfunction. The drive train of this reel is constructed of ultra tough Dura-Aluminum that will allow you to not have to worry about a malfunction when reeling in the huge fish.
