In order to support the drive train, the frame and handle side plate of this reel are made of rigid aluminum that stands up to the toughest fish. The aluminum guard plate on top of these Daiwa Baitcasting Reels helps in protecting the finish. This reel features Daiwa’s Magforce-Z, which is an automatic anti-backlash system that will help prevent line tangle. There is a swept handle on this reel which causes less wobble, maximum winding leverage, and a better feel. The drag system is constructed of Daiwa’s eight-disc wet drag with click adjustment for precision tightening and loosening. The spool is supported by 6 ball bearings: 4 CRBB (Corrosion Resistant Ball Bearings) and 2 stainless steel ball bearings plus one roller bearing.
