There are three ball bearings that are coated with a special coating that prevents deteriorating - lasting up to 12 times longer than ones without this coating. The main shaft of the Daiwa SB30 is constructed of stainless steel and has extremely precise gearing to make operating this reel effortless.
The external design is just as impressive. There is a super tough anodized finish that is corrosion resistant that will stand up to even the toughest of elements. The drive train of this reel is protected and reinforced by the ultra strong, rigid metal frame, so concerns of the drive train not staying inline under great stress are eliminated.
