With the SA-S802MFS-I model of the Daiwa Saltiga Interline Surf series it is easy to catch most kinds of game fish, including redfish, halibut and chopper blues. The blank is extremely strong because of its construction utilizing the Power Slim HVF Graphite. There are no guides on this rod and instead the line runs through the inside of the blank that is kept dry by the Hyper-Dry treatment, which is a raised spiral on the inside making for long casts and smooth retrieves. The rod itself is 8’ long, comes in two pieces and has a line weight of 12 – 20 pounds and a lure weight range of 0.75 – 3 ounces. The power is Med-Heavy and the action Fast, meaning that this rod has the backbone to bring in some hard fighting fish.
