Penn Conventional Level Wind Reel 209MLH is one of Penn’s most popular left-handed reels. The Penn 209MLH is designed to be simplistic, functional, durable and can handle almost any type of fish you choose to fish for. The spool is constructed of black anodized aluminum which not only allows for easy casting, and will last for many years. There are composite side plates, a warning clicker and a handle which is counterbalanced with an oversized hand grip which allow the retrieves of this reel to be extremely smooth. On the inside of the 209MLH there is Penn’s HT-100 Multi-disc star drag system is a drag that has both extreme smoothness and power. The main gears are made of brass, and the pinion gears are made of precision machined stainless steel, both add to this reels being so smooth. No matter how you decide to put this reel to the test, it will not disappoint.
