The Daiwa Emcast Surf Rod EC 701MFS is a one piece spinning rod that is 7’ long and therefore capable of being used to catch most saltwater shoreline fish.  The power of this rod is rated at Med, and the Fast Action makes it quick for setting the hook. The blank is made of graphite and is protected by Diawa's X-Tube which keeps it from getting scratched when being taken in or out of the holder. This model has 5 guides, a lure weight of 1/4 to 1 ounce, and a line weight of 8 to 17 pounds. The grip is made of Duracork and is hand-wrapped for a long life and durability on the water.

Daiwa will repair or replace any Daiwa rod or reel which proves defective in workmanship or materials within one year from the date of original purchase.  Retain your sales slip as proof of purchase date in the event warranty work becomes necessary.  This warranty does not cover lost parts, malfunctions due to abuse, accident or normal wear, or, cleaning or relubrication required due to owner's failure to provide reasonable and necessary maintenance.  Repairs to your Daiwa reel due to abnormal use, modification or beyond the warranty period are available for a reasonable charge, from Daiwa's Factory Service Department.
