The interior mechanics of this reel is top of the line. The drive train of this reel is constructed of ultra tough Dura-Aluminum and built to withstand the strongest game fish. There are 6 ball bearings that are specially coated to prevent corrosion, and one roller bearing. These bearings are sealed to prevent sand, salt crystals, fine grit and other debris from penetrating the bearings and causing your reel to malfunction.
The exterior of the Daiwa Emblem Pro 5000 is designed for fisherman whose number one priority is performance. The spool on this reel has a number of unique features that only Daiwa offers. The spool is constructed of extremely strong aluminum and has a reverse taper, which will allow you to load line on the reel right up to the lip and not have to worry about the possibility of unwanted tangles and knots. The spool also has a larger diameter than most reels, this allows the line to freely flow from the reel in large coils, which in turn produces minimal line memory which in turn results in less casting friction for longer, smoother casts. There is a corrosion-resistant Twister Buster line roller on the drag that causes minimal line twist. There is a precision, worm-shaft level wind which cross-wraps the line uniformly onto the spool. This spinning reel comes outfitted with an Infinite Anti-Reverse which will reduce handle back play and allows for great hook sets. The handle of this reel is able to be folded with an easy push of a button.
