The interior of the drag is made from stainless steel, and is equipped with grease impregnated washers which eliminate any concerns about being able to adjust the drag, no matter how heavy of a load is on your line. You have 30% more winding power with this reel due to the fact that it has super tough alloy stock gears, which guarantees durability and smoothness.
The frame of Daiwa Saltist Coventional Reels are constructed of heavy duty solid aluminum which allows the reel to perform to its fullest potential, even while under the strain of a hard fighting fish. The drag is able to tightened up to 22 lbs with ease, and cranking is easy with a handle designed for comfort. The handle can be locked into two different positions so you can decided which is more comfortable to make things easier on your hand when pulling in to long retrieves. Daiwa will repair or replace any Daiwa rod or reel which proves defective in workmanship or materials within one year from the date of original purchase. Retain your sales slip as proof of purchase date in the event warranty work becomes necessary. This warranty does not cover lost parts, malfunctions due to abuse, accident or normal wear, or, cleaning or relubrication required due to owner's failure to provide reasonable and necessary maintenance. Repairs to your Daiwa reel due to abnormal use, modification or beyond the warranty period are available for a reasonable charge, from Daiwa's Factory Service Department.
