The Daiwa Saltiga 30T Conventional Reel was built to Saltiga standards with a few added extras. This reel is specifically design to endure the cruel handling that today’s tremendously strong braided lines demand, as well as still being able to handle monofilament line without an issue.
The Daiwa Saltiga SA30T frame design differs slightly for all the other Daiwa Saltiga Conventional Reels; it has a slightly slimmer design, with higher side plates, although it still is made with aircraft-grade anodized aluminum which is not only extremely strong, but will also prevent corrosion. The SA30T has a spool clicker that allows you to hear when there is a fish on your line and it is beginning to run. The handle on this reel has the ability to be locked into two different positions, and has an extra comfortable oversized soft hand grip. There is a dual-system infinite Anti-Reverse and has one of the fastest retrieves on the market of over one yard per turn of the handle.
The drive train is one of the smoothest on the market due to the fact that it constructed of 7 bearings, 6 ball bearings and one roller bearing, which make the task of reeling in that enormous fish easy. You are able to adjust the drag of this reel with ease due to the washers in the drag of this reel being a combination of grease impregnated graphite and stainless steel.
