Daiwa Saltiga Conventional Reels
Daiwa has done it again, with their Daiwa Saltiga Conventional Reels. These reels are absolutely unbelievable. The frame and side plates are both machined out of a solid aircraft-grade aluminum bar stock which is anodized to assist in preventing corrosion. The spool is also machined out of air-craft grade aluminum which allows the reel maximum casting performance and added strength. The handle on these reels are rubberized power handles which were designed for maximum comfort and performance for when you are reeling in that huge fish. The retrieve on the Daiwa Conventional Reel is amazing at 35 inches of line with every handle turn. These reels are built for today’s super strong braided lines, and the “guts” of this reel prove it. The drag on this reel is has grease-impregnated graphite and stainless steel washers which keeps the drag operating to it's full potential, even under the longest and heaviest of runs. The gears are machine-cut, massive, high-strength alloy gears; which will withstand the strain that comes with fishing with super braided lines. There are 6 ball bearings and one roller bearing to guarantee your reel functions to maximum performance at all times. Inside and out, these reels are designed to be workhorses, it doesn't get any tougher than these reels.
