This reel comes with all the features that you have learned to love from Daiwa, plus a few additional ones to make it top of the line.
There is a rigid aluminum frame and handle side sideplate that is not only meant for durability, but also stability because it will support the drive train under the heaviest of loads so that everything will always stay inline. There is a swept handle which Daiwa designed to reduce wobble, as well as give you maximum winding power. The handle has dual soft touch hand grips that are extremely comfortable on your hands so can concentrate on those long retrieves. There is also a special edition serial number, found only on this reel, on the thumb bar. In order for this reel to have an amazingly faster start time and the ability to spin longer, Daiwa has equipped this reel with their free-floating perforated Aluminum spool. There is also a special “50th Anniversary” marking which is laser engraved on the spool. On the inside of this reel there is an impressive eleven corrosive-resistant ball bearings, plus a roller bearing to give this reel extremely smooth performance.
