The frame and side plates are constructed of solid aluminum which is super tough and withstand pretty much anything you want to throw at this reel. The spool is lightweight aluminum that will perform for years to come. There is a great titanium nitride line guide that is designed to allow your line to flow smoothly from the reel and will not snag or cut your line. The handle on this Baitcasting Reel is dual ended with comfort hand grips. There is one more feature on this reel that you won’t see anywhere else, Daiwa’s Twitchin’ Bar. You have the ability to eliminate up to seven inches of slack with just the push of a button, which will make solid hooksets a guarantee. The Twitchin’ Bar also allows you to control your jigs or plastic worms better and more “life-like”.
The guts of this reel are a high grade design. There is Daiwa’s Free-Floating Spool design which allows the spool to independently float on precision, stainless steel ball bearings which in turn, the pinion gear rides on it’s shaft which eliminates gear train friction when casting. There are precision machined high-strength alloy gears which will perform even under that heaviest of loads. The drag is constructed of a massive, seven disc stainless steel and fiber composite drag that allows the drag to perform flawlessly.

Daiwa will repair or replace any Daiwa rod or reel which proves defective in workmanship or materials within one year from the date of original purchase. Retain your sales slip as proof of purchase date in the event warranty work becomes necessary. This warranty does not cover lost parts, malfunctions due to abuse, accident or normal wear, or, cleaning or relubrication required due to owner's failure to provide reasonable and necessary maintenance. Repairs to your Daiwa reel due to abnormal use, modification or beyond the warranty period are available for a reasonable charge, from Daiwa's Factory Service Department.
